COME OUT. SHARE. INSPIRE. WIN.
About #THISISRECOVERY Social Campaign
September is National Recovery Month and we're asking you to combat the stigma and shame of addiction by coming out as a person in recovery and share what recovery is to you using #THISISRECOVERY on social media all through the month of September.
Inspired by other social movements like ACT UP's SILENCE = DEATH, and #MeToo, #THISISRECOVERY is a bold social media campaign which empowers our voices to be heard, inspires others to live shame-free, and recognizes there is strength in numbers.
By sharing your recovery you will be inspiring others to to come out and shatter the shame and stigma many of us face as people living with addiction. We will be featuring posts and stories across our social media and randomly select 100 lucky participants to receive free general admission tickets to Recovery Fest 2018 at McCoy Stadium in Rhode Island. You'll join a community of others living in life-long recovery and enjoy music from Macklemore, Fitz and the Tantrums, PVRIS and more. All you have to do is come out and share using #THISISRECOVERY.
About Recovery Fest 2018
Center for Open Recovery is proud to be the premiere partner of Above the Noise Foundation's Recovery Fest 2018 hosted at McCoy Stadium on September 29th. Through the universal language of music, Center for Open Recovery and Above the Noise will unite communities, heal families, and shift America’s response to addiction from one of rejection to one of inclusion.
